This is ridiculous!

In past years, when I was looking for a job, I never experienced the nonsense of jobs wanting me to do chat interviews -- usually after I have answered a bunch of questions they have emailed me! I will not do a chat interview. I hate texting in generally, let alone with people I don't know. Also, I have already experienced finding out that these interviews are fake. I answered an ad last week and they said they would get back to me. They did today (kinda making me wonder right there, since they got back to me on a Sunday), They want me to talk chat to chat via Skype. I wrote back and told them the truth, that 1) I do not think I can convey my skills and experience effectively by typing back and forth to someone, and 2) I have found chat interviews to be fake. In any case, I told them that I am happy to interview by phone or by video. Let's see if I hear from them again.
